We count down the official Top 40 songs as they ranked on the UK charts on that day forty years ago. Join Steve Bannister as he takes you back in time with three hours of the top songs of that week, counting them down from Number 40 to Number 1. We’ll also throw in a few ‘bubbling under’ tracks, and some up-and-coming songs that may or may not make the Top 40 in the weeks to come.
